Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Screening of A DOCTOR OF MY OWN featuring in-person discussion with director Trisha Pasricha

We are thrilled to announce the screening of A DOCTOR OF MY OWN at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health at 12 PM on May 6th, 2015 in Baltimore, MD. The screening will be hosted by the African Public Health Network (APHN) in the Becton Dickinson Auditorium (W1020) and will feature an in-person discussion with film director Trisha Pasricha.

The film screening is part of the highly celebrated “Faces of Africa” event hosted by APHN, the Department of International Health, and the J.B. Grant Society. “Faces of Africa” is a weeklong celebration of African culture, arts, and cuisine with this year’s theme of “Empowering Africans to champion change within the health system.” For more information, visit the African Public Health Network website here.

We are thrilled to announce that the New York University Global Institute of Public Health will be hosting a screening of “A DOCTOR OF MY OWN: The First Medical Students of Namibia” on April 9th, 2015 from 9 AM – 11 AM in New York, New York. Director Trisha Pasricha will be present at the screening in person for a Q&A following the film. Featured as part of the National Public Health Week celebration, the screening will be at the NYU Kimmel Center, 60 Washington Square South, in the Shorin Performance Studio, Room 802.

University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine to Screen “A DOCTOR OF MY OWN” with Q&A with Director Trisha Pasricha

We are excited to announce a screening of the documentary film A DOCTOR OF MY OWN: The First Medical Students of Namibia at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine on April 6th, 2015 in Philadelphia, PA. The global health documentary film “A DOCTOR OF MY OWN” will screen at Johns Hopkins University at 3 PM on January 20, 2015 in Baltimore, MD. The film will feature a discussion with director Trisha Pasricha in-person to be moderated by Dr. Debra Furr-Holden of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. The screening is sponsored by the Johns Hopkins University Center for Africana Studies.

NYU School of Medicine hosts NY premiere of “A DOCTOR OF MY OWN” featuring in-person discussion with director Trisha Pasricha

NYU SOM We are thrilled to announce the NY premiere of A DOCTOR OF MY OWN: The First Medical Students of Nambia will take place at the New York University Langone Medical Center on Wednesday October 29th at 7 PM in New York, NY. The film will be hosted by the International Health Department in conjunction with the Global Medicine Club at the NYU School of Medicine.

Dinner and a special Q&A with director Trisha Pasricha in-person will follow the film screening.
